Virtual Group Experiences
Once the life that was has been honored, there follows a period of considering the shape of what is to be. It is a threshold, a moment to pause before moving forward. Virtual group experiences enable us to come together in community and enter the liminal space of transformation together, to lend each other support and encouragement. My virtual experiences are offered with two different focus areas: the first, reimagining life after a transformative experience, and reimagining the difference you are called to make in this world.
I define a transformative experience as one that will forever be the point that is looked at as life before and life after. It may be the loss of a significant person in your life, or moving from mothering a child to mothering an adult when your child has established their own home, or perhaps simply moving into the second half of life. Whatever the event, life as you know has changed and who you are is called to change with it. What has been lost and what has been gained in this transformation? What parts of you no longer serve you? What unexplored interests now have space to take root? What direction will you intentionally go in? Change gifts us with the opportunity to imagine our world anew.
The second focus area is reimagining the difference you are called to make in this world: your calling. Callings are most often not the intensive undertakings that people imagine, although they can be. Often they simply want to be heard and ask you to intentionally explore and bring together the passions and gifts you have to make a difference for those already around you. This virtual experience focuses on four distict pieces of information that provide insight into your call: passions, purpose, people, and place. What cause or situation or way of being am I passionate about? What do I identify as my purpose, my reason for being and engaging with the world? Who am I called to share these passions and gifts with, and who is there to support me? Where am I called to share my gifts, either geographically or the specific format? These are the questions we weill explore together.
Each virtual offering includes opportunities for shared learning and individual deepening into an understanding of what is needed to birth the life that is to be. The program format spans two non-consecutive weekends, with group sessions on Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning with a solo learning experience on Saturday afternoon. Weekend one focuses on both intentionally honoring what was and entering into the space of transformation, while weekend two shifts to moving within the space of transformation and beginning to offer invitations to the life that is awaiting birth.
Upon registering, participants will receive a phoenix journal, a kit of supplies to be used during your Saturday afternoon solo experiences and a suggested reading list, enabling us to share a common thread in spite of physical distance.
